Review the broad market and finding the key sectors, commodities or securities that are trending in either direction. “Swing up” or Swing down”.
Using “non-conventional” fundamental data such as Commitment of Traders reports will provide a key factor to the overall market directional and the favoured or non-favored market at the time.
Eg. COT reports shows that strong commercial buying is occurring in Gold – therefore expect gold and stocks to rise in the coming weeks.
Seasonal Patterns in sectors or markets will influence the market and therefore has a tendancy or a bias to the long side or short side within a particular time of the year or month. Swingtradinglab.com has divised trading systems to identify ANY market seasonal bias for ANY Month or Week or Day.
SwingTradingLab.com find the seasonal bias in any market for any given month, week or day. Eg. The Rydex Gold Sector for the last 16 years has a tendancy of 7:1 to be bullish in the month of Septemeber. It has generally made its gains in the 1 and 4th weeks of September and usally makes it gains on Monday’s and Thursday’s.
